Description
The Dimplex PLX100E Electronic Panel Heater provides 1kW of programmable electric heating in a slim, wall-mounted design. Combining accurate temperature control with intelligent scheduling and energy-management features, it's designed for both domestic and commercial spaces where reliable, controllable electric heating is required.
An integrated electronic thermostat accurate to ±0.2°C helps maintain a consistent room temperature. Rather than relying on a basic mechanical thermostat, the PLX100E uses digital controls to give you much more precise control over your heating.
The built-in 7-day programmable timer allows heating to be scheduled around your normal routine. Multiple timer profiles are available, including User Timer, Out All Day and Home All Day, alongside continuous heating modes such as Eco, Manual and Frost Protect. Additional Away, Boost and Setback functions provide further flexibility when your routine changes.
Dimplex's Adaptive Start technology is designed to have the room at the requested temperature when a programmed heating period begins. Instead of simply switching on at the programmed time, the heater can calculate when it needs to start warming the room in advance.
Open Window Detection provides another useful energy-saving feature. If the heater detects the characteristic temperature change associated with an open window, it can stop heating rather than continuing to consume electricity unnecessarily.
Everyday operation is handled through a graphical backlit display and capacitive controls. Child Lock and PIN-based Heater Lock functions help prevent accidental or unauthorised changes, while a replaceable battery provides backup for the real-time clock and programmed settings.
The PLX100E is IP24 splash resistant, allowing it to be used in appropriate bathroom locations when professionally installed in accordance with electrical regulations. A forward-facing louvred grille helps distribute warm air into the room, while the compact mineral-filled sheathed heating element keeps the overall heater relatively slim.
For users who want connected heating control, the PLX100E is also compatible with the Dimplex Control system, although this requires a separate Dimplex Hub and RF Module. These accessories are not built into the heater and must be purchased separately.
