Description
The Dimplex PLX125E PLXE 1250W Electronic Panel Heater provides efficient, precisely controlled electric heating in a slim wall-mounted design. Combining a 1.25kW heat output with intelligent electronic controls, a programmable seven-day timer and energy-saving functions, it is designed to give you greater control over both room temperature and heating schedules.
Ideal for bedrooms, living areas, home offices, hallways and other spaces requiring dependable electric heating, the PLX125E uses an electronic thermostat capable of maintaining the selected temperature to within approximately ±0.2°C. Rather than simply switching the heater on and off manually throughout the day, you can create heating schedules around your normal routine, helping ensure that warmth is available when you need it without unnecessarily heating an empty room.
The integrated seven-day programmable timer offers multiple heating profiles, allowing different temperatures and operating periods to be set according to your daily schedule. A clear graphical display with RGB backlighting and touch-sensitive CapSense controls makes it straightforward to access and adjust the heater's settings.
Dimplex Adaptive Start technology adds another level of intelligent control. When following a programmed schedule, the heater learns how long it takes to warm the room and can begin heating in advance so that the desired temperature is reached at the programmed time. This means that if you want a room warm at 7am, for example, the heater can begin warming it beforehand rather than only switching on at 7am.
Open Window Detection is designed to help reduce wasted energy. If the PLX125E detects a sudden temperature change consistent with an open window, it can temporarily stop heating rather than continuing to use electricity while heat escapes from the room.
A range of operating options provides additional flexibility, including Eco, Manual and Frost Protect modes, alongside functions such as Boost, Away and Advance. Child and heater locking functionality helps prevent unwanted changes to the settings.
The PLX125E is IP24 rated, providing splash protection and making it suitable for appropriately installed bathroom applications in accordance with applicable electrical regulations. Safety features also include an automatic-reset thermal cut-out and overheat detection.
Finished in Traffic White with a forward-facing louvred grille, the PLXE has a clean, understated appearance designed to blend easily into modern or traditional interiors. At just 108mm deep, it provides substantial electric heating without projecting excessively into the room.
With its combination of accurate temperature control, flexible seven-day programming and intelligent energy-saving features, the Dimplex PLX125E is a practical solution for households looking for controllable fixed electric heating rather than a basic manually operated panel heater.
