Description
The Dimplex PLX150E is a 1500W electronic panel heater designed to provide efficient, precisely controlled electric heating for domestic and light commercial spaces. Part of Dimplex's established PLXE range, it combines a slim wall-mounted design with an accurate electronic thermostat, 7-day programming and intelligent energy-saving features.
With a 1.5kW heat output, the PLX150E provides responsive electric heating without the need for pipework or connection to a wet central heating system. Its forward-facing louvred grille is designed to promote effective circulation of warm air into the room.
The digitally controlled electronic thermostat is accurate to approximately ±0.2°C, helping maintain a more consistent room temperature than a basic mechanical thermostat. The desired temperature can be selected between 7°C and 30°C.
A fully programmable 7-day timer provides extensive control over when the heater operates. Up to four time and temperature settings can be programmed for each day, allowing heating to be matched more closely to your normal routine.
Adaptive Start adds further intelligence to scheduled heating. Rather than simply switching on when a programmed heating period begins, the heater learns how long the room typically takes to warm and starts heating in advance when necessary. This allows the room to reach the selected temperature at the programmed time.
Open Window Detection helps reduce unnecessary energy consumption. If the heater detects that the room isn't warming as expected or that the temperature is falling while heat is being produced, it can recognise the conditions associated with an open window and temporarily stop heating.
Several operating modes provide additional flexibility, including Eco, Manual and Frost Protect. Advance functionality allows you to move to the next programmed heating period when required without permanently changing the weekly schedule.
Settings are managed through Dimplex's CapSense controller, featuring touch-sensitive controls and a clear graphical display with RGB backlighting. Child Lock and PIN-based Heater Lock functions help prevent accidental or unauthorised changes.
The PLX150E can also be integrated with the Dimplex Control system for remote smartphone operation. Smart control requires a compatible Dimplex Hub and an RFM radio-frequency module for the heater, both of which are sold separately.
With an IP24 rating, the PLX150E is splash resistant and can be suitable for appropriate bathroom installations when installed in accordance with electrical regulations and the manufacturer's instructions.
Finished in Traffic White with a durable powder-coated steel casing, the heater measures only 108mm deep. Its slim profile and gently curved design allow it to sit neatly against the wall while still delivering a substantial 1.5kW heating output.
