Add instant warmth and the atmosphere of a traditional fireplace with the Dimplex Dakota DKT20BL Electric Fire. Designed as an inset electric fire for standard 16 and 18-inch fireplaces, the Dakota combines a contemporary black finish with Dimplex's popular Optiflame flame effect and a contrasting white pebble fuel bed.
The Dakota features a 2kW fan heater with two heat settings of 1kW and 2kW, allowing you to choose a gentler level of supplementary heat or the full output when the room needs a stronger boost. A variable thermostat helps maintain a comfortable temperature without having to continually adjust the heater manually.
Dimplex's Optiflame technology creates a flickering flame effect behind the white pebble fuel bed, giving the fire an inviting appearance without requiring a real flame. Importantly, the flame effect can be operated independently of the heater, so you can enjoy the visual effect throughout the year even when additional warmth isn't required.
Installation is designed to be relatively straightforward. The Dakota is suitable for standard 16-inch and 18-inch fireplace openings and conventional flues, requiring an inset depth of approximately 7075mm when fully recessed.
The controls are discreetly positioned beneath the canopy, keeping the front of the fire uncluttered while providing easy access to the heat and flame settings. An integrated safety cut-out provides additional protection during operation, while the supplied mains lead allows for straightforward electrical connection.
With no fuel to store, ash to clean or chimney fire to maintain, the Dimplex Dakota provides an easy way to add both supplementary warmth and a traditional fireplace focal point to a living room.
