Description
The Dimplex OCR20 Oil Filled Column Radiator provides powerful, quiet and comfortable portable heating with a maximum 2kW output. Combining traditional oil-filled radiator technology with adjustable heat settings, thermostatic control and easy-glide castors, it is a practical choice for adding extra warmth to bedrooms, living rooms, home offices and other areas of the home.
Oil-filled radiators are particularly well suited to situations where steady, unobtrusive warmth is preferred. The sealed oil inside the radiator is heated electrically and transfers warmth through the metal columns, producing a combination of radiant and convected heat. There is no fan required to distribute the warmth, helping the OCR20 operate quietly.
A maximum 2000W heat output provides substantial supplementary heating, while selectable heat settings allow you to reduce the output when full power isn't required. This provides greater flexibility as room conditions change throughout the day.
The integrated variable thermostat helps maintain a comfortable temperature automatically. Once you've selected the desired setting, the thermostat cycles the heating element on and off as necessary rather than requiring the radiator to operate continuously at maximum output.
A dedicated frost-protection setting is particularly useful during colder weather. It can help protect rooms from becoming excessively cold when normal heating isn't required, making the radiator useful for occasionally occupied rooms and other spaces that may otherwise be vulnerable to low winter temperatures.
Because the OCR20 is completely freestanding, there is no permanent installation required. Simply position the radiator where additional heat is needed and connect it to a suitable mains socket.
Easy-glide castors make moving the radiator between rooms straightforward, while an integrated carry handle provides additional assistance when repositioning the appliance. A 1.8-metre power cable offers useful positioning flexibility, and an integrated cable tidy helps keep the cord organised when the radiator is being stored.
Safety is supported by a tilt switch that switches the heater off if it is accidentally knocked over. Thermal overheat protection provides an additional safeguard by cutting power if abnormal overheating is detected.
The traditional column construction provides a large surface area from which heat can radiate into the room. Unlike a fan heater, the OCR20 doesn't rely on continuously moving air to distribute its heat, making it particularly appealing for bedrooms, studies and other spaces where quiet operation is important.
Finished in white with contrasting dark-grey controls, the Dimplex OCR20 combines dependable 2kW heating with straightforward manual controls and portable convenience. It's an excellent option for anyone looking for simple, effective supplementary heating without Wi-Fi, apps or complicated programming.
