Description
The Dimplex ThermaIQ DXBC22 Smart Baseboard Convector Heater combines powerful 2.2kW heating with intelligent temperature control, Wi-Fi connectivity and a sleek low-profile design. Designed for medium to larger rooms of up to approximately 22m², it provides fast, flexible supplementary heating while giving you much greater control over when and how your room is warmed.
With a powerful 2200W output and three heat settings, the ThermaIQ can adapt its performance to suit changing heating requirements. An integrated fan helps circulate warm air around the room more quickly, delivering faster and more even heat distribution than a traditional convector without fan assistance.
Smart Adaptive Heating helps maintain a comfortable room temperature while reducing unnecessary fluctuations. Rather than repeatedly allowing the room to become too warm or too cool, the heater intelligently manages its output around your selected temperature for more consistent comfort.
Eco Mode provides another way to manage energy consumption. As the room approaches the desired temperature, the ThermaIQ automatically reduces its power output rather than continuing to operate unnecessarily at maximum power. This makes it particularly useful when you want comfortable supplementary heat without simply running a 2.2kW heater continuously at full output.
Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity gives the DXBC22 genuine smart-heating functionality. Using the compatible app, you can remotely adjust the temperature, manage heating settings and schedule operation from your smartphone. A programmable 7-day schedule lets you tailor heating around your weekly routine, while a 12-hour timer provides additional flexibility for shorter heating periods.
The heater can also be controlled directly using its LED touch display, so smartphone control isn't required for normal everyday operation.
A distinctive motorised air outlet rises automatically while the heater is operating to distribute warm air before retracting when switched off. This helps the ThermaIQ maintain its clean, streamlined appearance when not in use. An integrated ambient base light adds a subtle glow and can be switched off when it isn't wanted, particularly useful when the heater is being used in a bedroom.
Despite its substantial heating output, the DXBC22 is designed to be easily moved between rooms. Hidden castors and integrated handles make repositioning straightforward, allowing one heater to provide additional warmth wherever it's needed.
Safety features include overheat protection and a tilt switch that automatically cuts power if the heater is accidentally knocked over. Fire-resistant materials provide further reassurance during everyday use.
Measuring just 29cm high and 13.2cm deep, the ThermaIQ's distinctive baseboard-style format allows it to sit relatively low and unobtrusively within the room. Finished in black, it offers a contemporary alternative to the traditional white portable convector heater.
Combining 2.2kW heating power, fan-assisted heat circulation, Smart Adaptive Heating, Eco Mode, Wi-Fi app control and programmable scheduling, the Dimplex ThermaIQ DXBC22 is a sophisticated portable heating solution for living rooms, bedrooms, home offices and other spaces where responsive, controllable warmth is required.
